Modular Wiring Knowledge

Hi, I recently embarked upon a new shift in my CAD career. As such I now have to branch out into mixed bag that is modular wiring.
Initial feelings are that it is a breeze to CAD up but not to understand.

My question is, does anyone have or know of any literature regarding modular wiring? I need to pick this stuff up mega fast because I kinda blagged my way into this job..(lol).

Anything that relates to wiring lighting with emergency/dimming circuits would be of particular benefit.
