Layer Script or Lisp

Can somebody please help me write a script or a lisp that will turn off mutiple layers at one time? ie. i have a structural dwg that might have 7 different layers for framing. I would like to click one flyout tool with different layer names and turn off the aprropriate layer. Is this Possible?
