Optical intellimouse 2.0 - Panning problems

Hi All

I recently installed a wireless Intellimouse 2.0.

running fine but the panning function seems really slow to kick in. I have the wheel set to run as pan in the mouse options, but when i use it, there is a delay of around 0.5 seconds, instead of being immediate like my old wired microsoft optical mouse (that went to rodent heaven a few weeks ago)

Might not sound like a huge problem, but its really annoying!! :evil:

So has anybody had similar problems - or more importantly, does anybody have a solution??

8) Have you downloaded and installed the latest mouse drivers from microsoft ??

driver 5.2, still no joy!

have i bought a lemon??

maybe it's an old known problem.
You have to uncheck the scroll bars on the right side of Your screen.
options-> view...

8) Just to be on the safe side recheck the MBUTTONPAN is set to 1

EXXIT - scroll bars aint the problem - i dont run them - they take up valuable real estate!

EDDIE - yeah it was set to 1... i reset to 1 to make sure & still no joy.

i really think its the inherant properties of this edition of the mouse

rolled back - didnt make a difference.

Is anybody using the same mouse with no problems??

Its the microsoft, wireless optical mouse 2.0 with the 2 way tilt wheel.
