View Full Version : Batch Xref Binding

Greetings to all -

I've got several thousand files drawn in both R14 and 2000 that are chock full of xrefs. The file naming conventions and location management program prior to my arrival lacked disipline (putting it mildly) and now I've got a real mess. Any time I need to rename or relocate a file something gets screwed up in a big way. I'm attempting to get our engineering servers squared away in anticipation of electronic document distribution and shop floor viewing. We've been addressing this on a file by file basis by binding the xrefs and it works out well. To continue this on the whole server would take months.

Can anyone suggest a batch utility that will allow for the automatic opening, binding of xrefs, saving, and closing on R14 and 2000 drawing files? I've seen a couple of products available for 2005, but we're stuck in the stone age for now with mixed R14 and 2000 seats.

Any responses are appreciated.

-Rob
