I have a acad2005 installation on xppro. The original install was over a network using the acad deploy utility and in the past this has been ok. Sometime ago we had a big network problem and something happened to my acad installation in that I lost alot of the utilities. I have tried to re-install and uninstall but I keep on getting a message that says I need to locate the installation package "MSP2" - I can't locate this anywhere. I am now left with a partially operating AutoCAD that I can't repair, can't re-install and can't un-install. -

Any clues?????

Are you installing locally (stand alone) ??
This sounds as thought the install is trying to locate one the network deployment files...is the network deployment available ?
If so try reinstalling from there.

I've tried reinstall from the network deployment but no-go - what I really want to do is un-install it and start again but I can't even do that??

well... i havent encountered a kind of problem your at but on other programs i also too have difficulty uninstalling them... maybe this can help...

if uninstallation went error try uninstalling them manually (considering the familiarity on certain paths of the program) by deleting its folder, and from its registry... but be careful deleting files... ü
