Is it possiable to use wild cards within FIND and replace text?
If not maybe you know another way...

VCD,
are the numbers one textobject itself, or inside a mtext...?
Example?

The numbers are basic single line text... and only #1-40.
I just need them to read...
LOT 1
LOT 2
LOT 3
etc. etc.

VCD,
so You need a prefix, right? I post a lisp (delete .pdf), tested with ADT2004. Is it working?
