Hello!

Can anyone advise me how to "define" layer which will not be snaped but will be visible? Is this possible?

Thank you

You mean that you need a layer which is visible, but snap will not work on it .. ??

Dont think thats possible ... nut if it is ... tell me :)

I don't think this is possible. However, if you make the linework ... you want non-snappable .... a separate DWG file, you might be able to do something. Make this a separate file and XREF it back into your drawing. Now .... when you try to snap ... AutoCAD will give priority to the "LIVE" file first and all "XREFs" second priority.

You will still be able to snap to the XREF but AutoCAD will give 2nd priority based on the snap settings.

For example, you have "endpoint" set and you have 2 lines close together, one "live" and the other "XREF", and now you go to snap on the endpoint on the line ... AutoCAD will favor the "live" line over the "XREF" line.

That's as good as it gets ... bud.

Sorry in advance if it's not what you wanted.

Later. :)
