When Acad crashes, how do i unlock file?

When Acad crashes, how do i unlock file? I get a read only or file in use message. There must be a file to rename of delete to change the status?

8) Now days..windows controls the lock file on drawings so if you find a drawing in read only mode you could try the follwoing..

In windows explorer..right click on the file and chose properties then change the read only setting to be UNTICKED
