View Full Version : Unidentified HVAC Flexduct linetype

Hi,

Does anybody recognize this HVAC-Flexduct Linetype shown in my attachment. I got a printed blueprint from an inaccessible source that used AutoCAD to do some HVAC Design work. We need to match the linetype he used for the flexducts since we have 65 sheets to redraw for as-built submittal. The base dwgs we have in ACAD format but the Mechanical part we just have the prints.
Anyone that has been around this type of drawings probably knows about this linetype. Your tip and pointer on where to find it would be greatly appreciated.

8) If the linetype isn't available on your system....the you have three options..

1) Locate the linetype, try contacting the inaccessible source and ask them for it.

2) Use the design center to tranfer the linetype from one drawing to another

3) use the match porperties to match the linetype from one drawing to another

hopefully someone here has a link to it's download location or can give you a copy.

I think You can't use a linetype. The parts are to different in arcs. I would take blocks and tinker the curves... :wink:

PS: But maybe You can post a part of the flexducts

Judging from the shapes of the elements at curved portions, it looks as if someone either went to a lot of trouble fitting things by hand or perhaps this line type is available in Acad Mechanical????? Just a guess :shock:

Hi,

Thanks for the input. I have tried and considered all of your possible scenarios, but I insist. This was done using line command using a custom linetype. As I said before, I just wonder if there is anyone there that recognizes this as being a linetype that I could use from anybaody wanting to share this rare comodity...

Ok, Ernesto,

You have to create a linetype by Yourself.

If You need more tips, post it, and attach a *.dwg with an example of the HVAC-Flexduct. ..
