50 Word Stories

This is a fun way to kill 5 minutes. Simply write a story in 50 words exactly. Harder than it sounds. As I posted I shall begin....



I hung up the phone as fear flashed in my eyes. The message urged me to my feet.
The words rang in my head.
“He’s coming for you!”
I fled, dodging pedestrians as I ran aimlessly.
Two dull thuds and a roar of pain signalled my defeat.
Then eternal blackness.



A bit sinister but hopefully a passable example.

As I listen to my Daredevil CD (does that count as one word or two? I'll say it's one word & these in parenthesis don't count...........) waiting for the next three hours to go by wondering when it will end. Big boss, twitboss, ashtray and chicken wing are gone, hottie pants is in a meeting with a bunch of noisy people - who did I forget? Senator's daughter.......from hell..........

I know..........boring, but it's 50 words & I don't care for that woman. HEY! did I tell y'all that freak no longer works here???????? I'll try another more interesting story next week.
