Hello!!!!!! I have a question, I think regarding programming & ACAD 2004. I'm not sure if it's programming or just that we have a screwed up computer. We have a "civil/survey" pulldown menu that automatically will load a layer that is picked. It will load the linetype, lineweight, color, etc. The gal behind me had always been able to use it before, but the other day, she went to go load a new layer & she got this goofy error. She tried to reload her linetype, still didn't work, then she called me over. I checked out the error & it's nothing that I've ever seen before - it gave some strange ".xls" error.....I think it was trying to load the excel file that all the layers are listed in instead of the actual layer. Now, being that I have no idea about the technical stuff, I'm at a loss. I did go in & check her file paths against mine & they looked the same as mine, so I have no idea what else to check. Any suggestions? Am I even posting this in the right place? Is this making sense at all?

8) Looks as thought the required excel file has been deleted or moved, do a search on the offending machine to try and locate it, if the search turns up nothing then simply place a copy of your file on to her machine.

No & no.........Eddie, did you realize you posted that twice? Anyway, her file paths still look the same as mine, as I'd stated before. I did check her drive again to make sure the spreadsheet hadn't been deleted - it's still there..........

I'm back!!!!!! ok, yesterday, I ended up with that same stupid ".xls" error on MY computer. I called a guy at our main office, had him email me the file that we're getting the errors on, & I overwrote the file on our network. all of a sudden, I, yet again, have the capability to load my layers, but she still gets the error!!!!!!!!!! again, checked her file paths, they STILL mirror mine...........does ANYONE have ideas? for the time being, she's loading all the stupid layers manually!!!! that's frustrating.......I'm stuck, being I have no idea what else I should be looking at & no one in our main office knows squat.........anyone?
