Hello,

I am using Autocad lt 2000 with windows xp. When I enter the
autocad design center and access the House Designer file I don't
get the familiar blocks icon to pick on to look at the blocks in
the House Designer drawing and to move them into my drawing.
All I get is a blank space. I get the same thing for every drawing
file under the design center that I access. Therefore I am unable
to insert symbols(blocks) into my drawings. I don't know if this is due to
installation or a problem with windows xp. I would appreciate any
help if you have used the design center.

Thanks in advance,

I've never used LT but... can you use the INSERT command for what you doing, or until another forum user tells you how to fix this properly?

VCD: mbrrst3 has to know where the stuff is before it can be inserted?

Guess if it were me, once I knew where the blocks were, I'd stash them somewhere where I could find them for future reference.....but that's another whole topic.....

The question has to be asked: Do you want to use blocks that some else thinks are right? Or do you create your own blocks that you KNOW are right?

Using blocks done by someone else potentially can get you in a lot of trouble.
