I'm using windows xp, acad 2002 and an hp designjet 8500.
I am unable to get the default paper setting to change. I can set any size and the first time anything else changes, the size goes back to tabloid. I need it to stay on 17X22. :?:

Go thru "Windows" ....
Control panel ...
printers ...
hp designjet 8500....
printing perferences ...
... and set the paper there ....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another option would be to setup a PC3 file for your hp designjet 8500
Hope that helps.
Jim: Are you defining plot styles and then assigning them a name? A named plot style usually locks in the sheet size. I assume your plotter supports 17X11 sheet sizes??? :shock:
Architech has a point as well; verify your plotter settings in Windows Control Panel. Set your preferred plotter to the "current" plotting device so AutoCad sends plotting information to the correct plotter. :D
Thanks. The help was helpful. I'm sorry for the screwed up paper size.
It was a type-o. It should have been 11X17.
Thanks again. :D
Jim: Either designation conveys the sheet size properly. I just got into the habit of expressing sheet sizes in terms of: X-axis first; Y-axis second so it comes out as: 17 x 11. No big deal. :)
