Well this might be a good start.

or try browsing around in the different forum topics already posted on this site.
Try the Jump To: box at the bottom of every page of this web site for quick browsing, or use the search link at the top of the page.
And I sound just like an Infomercial.

A good way to learn AutoCad and retain what you've learned is to selec something that exists (hone, apartment, some machine, etc), tkae measurements and draw it. Reference the user manual or on-line help for assistance with commands and keep at it until the drawing looks exactly like the real object. Dull and boring? Maybe so but forcing yourself to go through this type of exercise is often more valuable than reading abstract tutorials.
