Groups

i dont know anything about this group in autocad .. so obviously i dont use it ... someone did in one of MY drawings :evil:, ive been able to work with one some parts of the drawing and not others ... i can erase some lines in these groups and not others .. i've exploded all the groups listed in the drawing file, but that didnt help ... please someone explain this to me so i can finish making the modifications to my stairs / railing!!!!

If you don't need to use groups... ever

Options-->"Selection" Tab

unselect "Object Grouping"

I had a follow question on group , Is there such a program or routine whrein it will group all the elements in your drawing into thousands of group, I ask this because I've receive a drawing from an architects office which group area by area though I know they shouldn't be group that way. To me its looks like a program had randomly selective certain area & then group it. & the funny thing my autocad shuts down whenever I Edit the drawing, It says Fatal Error unhandled violation BAF65____something like that?? any comments
