Guess there is no more 3dsout function?

I understand the compatibility between AutoCAD and Max is greatly improved, but what about the other programs that import 3ds files?

my current projects require some level of compatability between AutoCAD and Poser Pro. AutoCAD DXF should be recognized but maybe it is a bit much for Poser. not sure about Vue 7 Infinate, but thats still on my wish list.

I have a library of AutoCAD Solid models I wish to convert as props for animation sequences (into meshes of course) but I want to keep as solids since its easier for me to make modifications to them that way.

Max is on the horizon, but I wont have the budget for it in the near future.

Try this: http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2007/04/autocad_3dsout_.html
I don't know if it will work in 2010, but give it a try.

Autodesk has a plugin you can download to give you back the 3DSOUT command for releases after ACAD 2007 onwards

Go to:
