I have been sent an IGS file and I need to convert it to a format readable by ACAD 2K.
Does anyone know how to convert it, or even a site that will make the change for free?
TIA.

Hey guy ... :mrgreen:
Here's a Free viewer to read IGS files.
::thumbs :
http://www.modelpress.com/igs-viewer.htm
According to the advertisement it can export the file to a JPG.
You can then XREF the image into ACAD.
It's the bet I can find for ya' ... that's free ... :oops:
Sorry in advance if that doesn't help.

The viewer should be able to make the conversion .. but just in case it can't .....
(Still need the viewer)
why not just use ghost script to convert your ... into a tif and pull it back into AutoCAD as an image
(See above) Someone once said .... setup a "ghost script" plotter to convert any item to an image file. So you still need a viewer of some sort ... to plot from.
Also here's a link to more info on ghost script .... :mrgreen:

Note:
All the above is just a theory not proven out.
So don't shoot me ... if it doesn't work.
