cut section thru 3d wire frame

how can i cut a section thru a 3d wire frame model to obtain the cross section geometry.

If this actually a true wire-frame model and not a solid, the bad news is you won't be able to - meaning there is no command available for this as AutoCAD is not a surfacing cad package.

One method I have used in the past is xclip. Create a rectangular polyline where you want the section to appear. Use the xclip command and select the polyline option, and then select the rectangle you just created. When done, use the hide command and you should see your "section". Maybe not the best solution but about the easiest I know.

Not 2 step on Todd's toes here ... :) ... but if your wirframe is made of solids ... then try the "slice" command. Otherwise, Tcarpenter's post is right ...
