I use the mouse wheel (like most users) to zoom in and out of a drawing. Ok you say, nothing out of the ordinary there. But! sometimes instead of zooming in and out it stops working and just scrolls up and down slowly.
Its very strange. My middle click is set to osnaps so its not the pan feature.
I've tried the troubleshooting program and help files but I'm stumped. It happens when it wants for as long as it wants. Very frustrating when I'm trying to keep my momentum going.
Does anyone know a reason or even a fix for this evil little non cheese eater peoblem? I'm gonna smash it soon.

Well, do i sentense some sarcsm there ??
you know, mouse buttons menu items suck.
They often do whatever they want.
You program the buttons and suddenly it does something else.
Just reload y menu ...

Yeah it was a bit sarcastic.. But thats what i use when my humour escapes me. So pretty much all the time then. But I'll try that menu loady thingy and see what happens. Mind you it could take all day to see if its fixed it. The problem comes and goes

Very like women. I just wish I had an instruction manual for HER inner workings. Then I'd know what some of the crap she comes out with means.
Like starting arguments cos (and I quote) "I was bored and angry and wanted to take it out on someone who would forgive me afterwards!" Twisted genius. I love it.

Are you pressing down on wheel?
I my wheel has 2 functions.
one:
zoom in/ out when rolling the wheel
two:
skrolls the view when I press down and roll the wheel.
Maybe that's it.

Sorry m8 thats not it.. My wheel (which I incorrectly called my middle earlier) click takes care of osnaps not pan. I found a way of fixing it but its bizarre. If i move the mouse up and the wheel down and then vice versa... it fixes it! Not for long mind. But maybe thats another bit of info that could aid our quest
I know this is an old post and you may have found your answer already. But the problem you are talking about sounded similar to one that we had in our office. The solution that I found was to turn off the scroll bars. It seems to work and have not had the problem since. Hope it helps.
