OK
TDS48 is a handheld thingy.
Dont know much about this but I would have thought the user manual would tell you?
You could always try the 'HOW TO' on the TDS website-
http://www.tdsway.com/kbase/dosearch.asp?Lang=1&SID=
click the link to go to that page and put Autocad in the searchbox.

Well, first you want to download the point file in the data collector (with the Trimble software) to your computer. Then edit a copy of that file with any old spread sheet editor (Excel works perfect). Now do any point clean up in the spread sheet. (Like cleaning up the numbering, description issues, and what ever else looks wrong.)
Save your newly cleaned point file then do a SAVEAS to a file type that your AutoCAD survey software can import. Crusty old Land Desktop works great with CSV (comma delimited) files. I'm not sure what the 2009 addons would use?
Finally, the use "import point file" in your AutoCAD survey software.
Um, what is the name of the your survey addon for AutoCAD?
