I have a drawing that will not allow me to use the monochrome print setting. It insists on printing in color- the only way i can get a black and white plot is to change all the colors to white and then undo that after i've plotted.
The drawings have to remain in color as per the clients instructions, so I cant just change them for good. And I cant figure out what setting is bogging me down.

I've tried changing the layer colors although when I do the colors in the drawing remain the same. these drawings are conversions from Caddum- whatever that is.

Any ideas on how I can keep the current color scheme and enable the monochrome printing option?

Are you using the "monochrome.CTB" file?
And if so, have you checked the color properties "within" the CTB file?
Are the color properties set to some grey tone family ... or are they set to "object property"?

My lowly Canon BJC 4550 insisted on doing this until I went back into the SYSTEM printer configurations and told it to print only black. Might be hard to do if you're on a network where others want to print in color....

Perhaps you could (or have the IT person) add a second printer configuration which is set to print only black lines?
