can't find temp dir after install

I just installed LD3 on a Windows ME system and when I open Autocad it goes almost all the way to an open dwg then displays this message;
'FATAL ERROR: All of the possible directories for storing temporary
files either do not exist or are readonly. Please correct
this situation before running AutoCAD again.'

What does it want?

Sounds like your machine requires you to take ownership. Check the properities where ACAD is installed.

Is it read only or do you have "writing" rights?

Dont know for sure, but do you need administrator right on ya pc ?!?!

Perhaps its a windows thing !!
