I want to attach a pdf to a block. What do I do?

No can do. Regular images canot be attached to/embedded in a drawing, they are only referenced.

You can insert an "ole object" in a drawing. Use the "insert" menu, select "ole object". Adobe acrobat (pdf) is one of the file options you can insert.
