2009 Match properties icon

Any time I use the match properties command it is successful, but the "paint brush" icon does not go away for the rest of the session. I can continue to work, all subsequent commands being used with no problem but the icon is annoying...any suggestions?

Doesn't do that for me.......tried the esc button when done???

Sounds like a reload time.
