Hi all,
I'm working on a custom dimstyles with a custom arrows and am hoping someone can help me with this one.
First dimstyle uses BIGARW for both dimensions and leaders.
Second dimstyle uses BIGARW for dim and BIGARW2 for leaders. The only difference is BIGARW2 is bycolor.
First dimstyle is great. Second dimstyle gives different arrow sizes for dims and leaders. Does anyone know what gives?
Also, multileader uses the default arrowhead (solid triangle).

Has anyone come across this before?
Regards, Vivian

Are you trying to get them all the same?

If so then use QSELECT to select all dims with the second dimstyle and then the PROPERTIES BOX to change them all to the first sdimtyle.

You can do the same thing to change the dimstyle for annotation leaders but Im not sure about multileaders, I never use them.

Hi NukeCad,
Thanks for the input.
No, I need 2 different dimstyles. One for existing features and one for new features. The new one is giving the problems.
Our client wants a leader with a lighter weight than the text. That's why the leader is bycolor. But it just doesn't come out the same size as the dimensions in the same dimstyle. The values in the arrow size box is the same in the dimension manager. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of offhand is the dimension scale, but sure you will have already checked that.

I will have a see if I can recreate the problem you are having.

Hi NukeCad,
Thank you, and if you'd like a copy of the file just ask.

Did you ever get anywhere with this Viv?

Hi NukeCad,
Actually yes, in a roundabout way. The original arrow block is a custom file created in Microstation when it was still Intergraph (talk about old).
For whatever reason no matter what I did I still had problems with it so I just xrefed it into a new file, scaled it and redrew the blasted thing. Detached the xref and Ta-DAAA, it worked.
FYI - the old file also brought in layers that it was associated with even when I had wblocked in layer 0 and the lines were in layer 0. Ever heard of this one?
Sometimes, CAD drives me ______ (fill in the blank).
Thanks for asking.
Regards, Vivian

Yes - sounds like the old layer filters problem with copy and paste bringing in all the filters and layers.

There must be at least a hundred posts about this, have a search on filters or layer filters, but be prepared for a lot of reading.
