Hi all,
I am trying to move some objects in "way out there space" closer to 0,0. But when I type in 0,0 for the second point the objects don't move. I could do this in 2002 (the last version I worked with). Does anyone know what happened in 2009?

I can physically pick a point near 0,0 but like I said, some things are just "way out there" and it's faster to type.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards, Vivian

Dont know the answer offhand but have you tried 1,1 instead?

Hi NukeCad,
Thank you for the response and I tried it. No go. This is what's on my screen when I try to move a circle.

MOVE
Select objects: 1 found
Select objects:
Specify base point or [Displacement] <Displacement>: cen
of Specify second point or <use first point as displacement>: @1,1
Am I missing something obvious? I'm just accepting the default prompts.
Regards, Vivian
Glad to "see" you. Hope you're doing okay.

Don't type @1,1 or @0,0....for the second point just type 0,0. The @ makes the coords relative.....typeing 0,0 is absolute.

Hi Alan,
That's the weird part. I don't add the @. It just does it by default. Is there a sysvar that controls this?

Hi Alan,
Thank you for looking into this one. My co-drafter has the same problem and it's bugging us. FYI, ACAD 09 on WINxp pro, sp2 for both of us.

Hahaha...when I checked out that link, I remembered I wrote an FAQ on this issue a while back, but had forgotten all about that.

"Old Timers" must be setting in..... :thspitcoffee: :thspitcoffee:

Hi Alan,
