Does anyone know of a Cad program that shows 3D wood framing - such as stud walls and roof framing? I've seen such a program years ago but I can't seem to find it now. Thanks in advance

Any CAD software capable of doing 3D can show wood framing...
Its up to you to model it...

Sketchup is a nice easy tool to use...

However if you want a CAD software that automatically has the model from an existing library or creates it from a routine...

Then I'm not sure...
Sketchup might have something as well...

hope that helps.

I've used Archicad (http://www.graphisoft.com/) to do Framing Drawings for theater and Stage Set work for a while and love it. since you're in America you can basically set up standard stud spacing and it will draw walls to and roofing ect. to Code for you and allow you to modify it. there are some real handy extentions that will let you set your stud spacing and when you draw a wall X feet long it will automatically fill in the studs for you!
