I've been using AutoCAD for 20 years now and I'm now stuck at Land Desktop 2006 with the Civil/Survey package. Autodesk now wants to gouge me for almost $6000 for me to become current! Is this for real? I'm a single user and can't afford to upgrade all the time - both in terms of money or training. Autodesk forces me to buy Civil 3D when all I want to do is upgrade my Land Desktop - the program I have been used to for years. I don't have the time or money to retrain myself in Civil 3D.

Anybody else have this kind of problem? Anybody have any ideas or solutions? Autodesk is pricing me right out of business!:banghead3

YES! AutoDESK SUX!

The only solution would be a student version in terms of price. But then you need to deal with the "Education Stamp" - But this can be deleted by saving down to r14 or lower... although I'm not sure if this works in 2009...
Only tried it on 2005 - which does work....

Aside from trying to obtain a hacked version (which isnt good for a legitimate business) .... you're pretty much stuck...

Sorry Guy

I dont think that 2006+ can save down to R14?

All versions of Autocad have the ability to save down to R14 dwg and R12 dxf.
