MText gone wild!

Has anyone encountered any problems with MText editing that reformats Tab spacing and creates words (that make no sense) after pressing return to enter a line break?

No. I've never seen crazy text.

Friends send me files sometimes with a request to delete text for them. It seems like text becomes un-selectable. I always have the latest version and it seems like the newer versions can select the items when they become un-selectable.

Sounds like you have some bad files. Are you getting errors or crashes?

No, no crashes or errors per se. I do however have a hard time opening alot of these files. I currently have the most recent version in my office ACAD07 and I am still unable to fix the mtext problems. I have no idea what is going on with that file in particular, not to mention trying to open a ton of other files. Have you heard of any conflicts between 07 and older versions as far as opening is concerned? I don't seem to have any issues using 06 to open specific files, but 07 gets hung up when trying to open certain files.

and convert back to MTEXT.... :confused:
