Block Insert Problem

I have a problem with a block I am wanting to insert into a new drawing.
When I insert the block it asks me for an "ID:". Does anyone know why this is and how I can cure it?

Sounds like a typical block attribute. You could enter any text, or nothing <enter>. What kind of cure would you like? You could set "attreq" to 0 before inserting, then you are not prompted for attributes - default values will be used.
