Update from 97 lt to 2004/5 lt

Can I put 2004/5 LT update if I am curenttly run Autocad lt 97. It is unclear on the package if it will accept 97 for an update.

I believe it should work. I believe the software looks for a valid regisrty of AutoCAD. Once it finds it, it should load. Both LT versions should be then loaded on your machine. I know in theory it should delete the old version and install the new version but usually the user or software installs into a different folder. So the old version doesn't get deleted.

Maybe someone else has some more insight. :roll:

8) It will install to new folder but will laso check validity of the current installation (LT97) be aware that it may ask for the LT97 disk/cd as part of the installation.
