This little beast helped me greatly on a number of jobs...
if you have a 3D Mesh (flat or at an angle) and you want to extrude it into a solid object....use this command,
The beauty of it is, it extrudes it down to a flat surface, so all you need to type in is the distance required away from the point on the mesh with the lowest z co-ordinate and hey-presto....
That probably makes no sense, so try it yourself.
draw a 3d mesh and use this command to extrude it!
