I CAN NOT GET MY DICTIONARY OR SPELL CHECK TO WORK. IVE TRIED RE-BOOTING THE COMPUTER. DOESN'T WORK. STARTING OTHER SESSIONS OF CAD SIMULTANEOUSLY. DOESN'T WORK. WHEN I TRY THE COMMAND, I GET AN AUTO CAD MESSAGE STATING "NO DICTIONARY SPECIFIED COUNLD NOT STAART SPELLER"
ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO HERE.
PLEASE HELP BECAUSE I CAN'T SPELE......

tanks for responding but I could not open your attatchment. It was a blank page. can you direct me to something else peas.

8) To download the attachment...right click on the attachment "DOWNLOAD" and chose SAVE TARGET...select the location where you to place this on yur machine and click SAVE
To open you will need adobe pdf reader which is free download.
This file is just an image depicting what you need to do for the dictionary.

Nope, architect, it doesn't work for me either.
JT, Have you setup the search path in options/files for the main dictionary? How about for the custom dictionary?

Are you saying the "download" didn't work or tip insode the PDF didn't work?
For the download to work ....
Right click on the "WORD" download ... and save file to a folder.
AS for the tip inside the PDF (for those still having trouble) ....
Go to options ...
"file tab"
..... (then) text editior
.........(then) custom dictionary file
..........(path should equal)c:\acad2000\support\sample.cus
See if you have that.
If not let us know.

the suply of architect ...
right mouse click on the word download .... save target as ...
That works just fine.
Okay. I got it. Just a little slow here (mentally :oops: ). The diagram looks good and clearly answers the question. Thanks for being patient.

I checked everything and re-installed AutoCAD ... ok for awhile AND it happend again .... :evil: :x :evil:
turns out .. it's a variable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was set to none!!!!!
Must be a LISP that's doing it but I can't find it ..... but I will .....!
Anyway .... it should set to ....
