I believe there is a way to convert either a word document (or txt file) or an excel file into autocad, for use in making architectural schedules and charts etc...
if anyone knows, your help would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks!

Hi Again, Kickass: Two things to keep in mind...... 1. Autocad is lousy at handling and formatting text and: 2. You can't draw squat in Excel and Word (You can do lines and some objects but not like cadd.).
You can import text into Autocad under certain circumstances but if you take the trouble to set it up all nice and neat in Word or Excel much of that formatting will go South when importing it to Autocad.
A sure-fire but tedious way to set up schedules is to create attributed blocks which represent a header and typical schedule line. These will take care of spacing and formatting. You may them be able to link individual items to external MS documents as has been suggested.
Good Luck!
