Hey eveyone, long time no speek.
Google is getting into everything. They're moving in on AutoDesk's territory now.

http://sketchup.google.com/

I'm downloading it right now to take a look. Has anyone here tired it yet?

Tried it last summer 2005. :p

Great software for presetations and concept work! :D :drinks:

Pretty easy to use!

But very touchy with its complex models.... :signdammi
Models will go corrupt if you're not careful about the sequence in modeling and taking apart, when editting.

Well now that I've looked at it I realized that I've seen this before, too. One of our people here was getting a Masters in Planning and they used the student version of Sketchup extensively for class projects. (I guess Sketchup has partnered up with Google.) The full version has easy to use fly through and sun position tools, the "lite" version looks like it just a fun little toy.

Well, the days of audtocad are now no more..... cuz sketchup is there. It is the best and easiest software i have ever seen. The GUI is so easy, good rendering effects, dynamic way of presentation. Impressive......
