File Conversion between ACAD, old and new versions

:( Hello, Does anyone know of any way to convert newer versions of Acad drawing files so that they can be opened in R 14 without the "Incompatible Version" message. I'm new to ACAD and using ACAD R14, trying to download symbols etc. Many don't work.

You probably knew this but if you have a newer version, you can open it in the newer version and save as R14.
I'm assuming you don't have the newer version however (hence the fact you are using R14).
Short of e-mailing the files to someone who can save them off as R14 drawings, I can't really think of what you can do.

Open "files of type", select AutoCAD R14

If he/she can't open the drawings in R14 how is it possible to do a save as?

the one saving the drawing should save it into the R14 format.
