Tell me if anyone has ever encountered this problem:
In one particular drawing, every time I open the file and audit it, I receive an error, "Invalid registered application name " "". This only happens in one drawing, I have checked the acad2000.cfg file for any strange apps and found none. What could possibly be the problem?

Hmmmmm .... I wonder :?:
If your file has a proxy element, that woud explain the "error message".
A proxy element means it was created by an "add-on" software, which is no longer being used on the machine ... its being opened on.
This could also be a block you inserted that has this past history attached to it as well.
My only 2 cents to this problem is .... wblock out twice!
Wblock your file to filter out the database link from the "Proxy element".
Open the DWG file created by the wblock, and redo the wblock one more time to filter the elements one last time. 8)
You might have elements in Paper space which means you might need to wblock that space too. And re-format your drawing in a new DWG file, this is in terms of redoing the viewports and notes and XREFing, if any.
Sorry in advance if this option doesn't suit you. :?

Thanks Architech, that solution has worked so far, I will post again if I encounter any more related problems.
