Rendering solids

Has anyone experienced the solid in model space taking on the colours of the materials assigned when rendering? IE, render with blue glass, all items with blue glass attached appear in light blue when switching to model space! :?:

8) Check the setting in options>system tab..click on "Current 3D graphics Display" PROPERTIES and see the render options are checked..there is an option there to enable materials...
I believe this is what causes it.
