I need to make my very own special font symbol that will be an automatic substitute a "normal" character. Example ` = © The catch is I need to make my own character.

I'm sure I've done this at least twice, but for the life of me I can't remember how to do any of it. :|

I don't even remember how to make my own font.

Somebody help!

In AutoCAD 14, this is done through MTEXT ... I believe.
I believe you have 2 or 3 tab in MTEXT. One of the tabs should allow you to import characters from different font types/ files (TTF).

As far as it being automatic, I don't see it unless you create a new SHX file, which I take it you already know this .... :)

Let me know if this helps or otherwise.

I added a PDF picture to illustrate my solution. :P

Well I found one of the symbols I was looking for (centerline) in MTEXT :) but i think the other I'll have to make myself. :|

If anyone else needed to know where to find a CENTERLINE label use GDT.shx and a lowercase q.

If anyone can help me out I'm looking for a Flow Line symbol. It looks like a F with an L hanging through the small "finger" of the F. (that wasn't supposed to sound naughty)
