I have LT 2006, and I have a couple of fonts that I need to install.

So far I have installed them in the AutoCAD "fonts" file, the Windows "fonts" file, and I think maybe another one or two.

The trouble I have is that AutoCAD doesn't seem to be able to find them! When I look at the text styles dialogue box and click the arrow under "font name" there is a list of fonts there that is different from the ones mentioned above.

Where does this file exist?!!! Please help! It's driving me mad!!! :bash2:

Let us know if you've figured it out - I saw at the cadtutor site someone noted you also posted this at the AUGI site, I would expect you got some good direction there. :)

where exactly are you putting these fonts...becasue autocad 2006 also has a fonts folder located under the windows user profile

I've put these fonts in every font file I could find - they are in now, at last, but the thing is I have to get others to do the same but I can't tell them where to put the fonts as I don't know which one is being used.

Autocad tells me it's looking at one file, but the list is different, so it would appear it's looking elsewhere. :banghead3

I know that the initial problem is now solved, but it's the not knowing that gets to me - I always like to solve things rather than just accept it's now sorted.

It's got us all confused here!

Here is what I do...Put the fonts on the windows font folder and in the fonts folder located under users windows profile...
