I am using AutoCAD LT. When I input dtext and snap to a line, the text appears bold, although it should not. This also occurs to the text in a block when inserting and snapping to a line. Why does this only happen in certain files and is there a way to stop this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
A Gough

Agough,
I have never heard of this problem, so here some thoughts:
Does Lt have a z-value? Are they different?
What happen if You insert the bold text into a "normal" file.
Change the font...?
Is the plot ok? Maybe the problem is only on the screen.
Can You attach a *.dwg with one text and one line?

Lothar,
As far as I know Lt does not have a z-value. I only use for 2-D drawings. If I insert the bold text into a "normal" file it is not bold. However, if I copy a block into a new file and snap that to coordinates, it appears bold. If in a normal file, I copy the project I am working on without text, just lines, and then try to add text, the text is once again bold. When changing the font of bold text, it is no longer bold. The text is bold once plotted as well.
Does that help you out at all? Let me know if you would like more information.
Thanks,
A Gough
