I was trying to figure out how to customize my keyboard settings and could'nt figure it out. It's a little different than in acad 2005 I guess.

Mainly though I must have changed some setting because when I try to copy a floor plan to put into say a elevation it will not let me.
Previously I would highlight the whole thing and a million little toggle points would show up. They are not showing up anymore and I can not copy from drawing to drawing. HELP!!

I could use answers to both of these problems but the copy problem is fairly urgent. Please help. I don't know what I would do without you other CAD folks. Thank you so much for everything.

Few things come to mind...

Check settings for;

PICKFIRST
PICKADD
HIGHLIGHT

(should be set to 1)

I checked it out and all of them are set to 1. Any other ideas.
Thanks anyway.

Hi,
...little toggle points would show up. ..., are You talking from grips, or from the dased lines (highlight-effect)?

...I can not copy from drawing to drawing..., so You are working with ctrl+A and copy+paste, right?

Options-> custums settings-> windows shortcut...
I think my translation is not right, maybe so else can give the real way...

I hope, that was Your problem,...

I am working with the actual pull down menu EDIT > COPY ,
not any shortcuts right now.

I can copy within a single drawing.

I can not copy an object from one drawing to another drawing unless I click
EDIT > COPY WITH BASE POINT.?????????????

Shelly,
double check and make sure that the objects your trying to copy is not on the defpoints layer, if so Layer 0 has to be on to be able to select the objects.
