I AM WORKING WITH ACAD LT 97 BUT I CAN NOT GET THE HATCH PATTERN TO RETAIN IT'S BOUNDARY'S WHEN I CHANGE THEM. I DO HAVE THE ASSOCIATIVE BOX CHECKED. ANY SUGGESTIONS I SURE WOULD APPRECIATE THEM. THANKS MUCH

Have you gone into advanced options of the hatch edit to see if there's something there? Not sure....

What are you using for hatch boundaries and how are you changing them?
Closed polylines for boundaries and stretching them usually works but I have found a couple of hatch patterns done by thrid parties that go South if you try changing the boundaries. Don't know what THAT problem is.
As a tip and a hedge against frustration, I have found over the years that it's better to break up large areas to be hatched into smaller areas so if associativity is lost, you don't have to rehatch the whole thing.
If you think you have problems, go to the Autodesk forums where there's lots of discussion about people wanting to use pixel hatching instead of vectors...
To each his own, I guess.
